Greetings, gentle reader, and welcome to juddspicer.com.   I'm Judd, a veteran writer based in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

As a professional Twin Cities' freelance and fiction writer since 1999, I have tackled myriad projects in various formats including book publishing, playwriting, web columns, and, most notably, freelance writing jobs.  In the last decade, my work has appeared in the pages, or upon the websites of: ESPN.com, Minnesota Law & Politics Magazine, Super Lawyers, Tee Times Minnesota Golf & Living, Minnesota Magazine (University of Minnesota), Edible Twin Cities, Whistling Shade, Gameday Baseball Program, Dr. Stats.com, Seconds Out Boxing Promotions, SLAM.com, Fantasy Football Champs,  Heavy Table.com, NCAA.com, Pulse of the Twin Cities, and Minnesota Monthly among many others.  In recent months, the Wall Street Journal online has thrice linked to my work, with one piece appearing in the "Numbers Guy" column and two articles referenced in "The Daily Fix."

The tenets I exercise toward my trade are both simple, and earnest:

I maintain something of an old-fashioned approach toward my work, however, in recent years, I have recognized and realized that I would remiss in not further embracing and understanding the electronic medium -- such is the onus for this site.

As the pages herein will exhibit, my writing work is diverse.  Based on hundreds of published works, I consider myself an expert in the areas of:
